DESCRIPTION:
APW - Waltham, chronograph with 15-minute register, at least 16J, 14S, silver-filled (silver exterior over a nickel core) OF A.W.Co. case, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, frosted nickel finish, s#3126764.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Ticking sluggishly, good chronograph and minute register function, overhaul recommended, mvt with a small bit of play within case, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, some surface rub to center bridge near center, abrasion at one corner of center bridge upper portion toward perimeter at pendant side, plates with some scattered micro-fine scratches, steelwork with some oxide spots; dial with patched perimeter chip at 8 with associated surrounding web of fractures, hls, and some surface flakes, some additional hls elsewhere, small chip to lower rim of seconds-register, edge nick under bezel at 5:30; case shows medium wear, circular scratch within rear caused by rub against one of the screw heads of one of the upper chronograph elements, few mild dings and nicks to exterior, reduced engine turning and engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
